Position Summary

Doxprint is seeking an experienced Security Print Production Manager to oversee the production of specialty printed products, certificates, diplomas, secure documents, authentication products, labels, and related printed materials.

This position is responsible for coordinating production personnel, equipment, materials, workflow, quality requirements, and production schedules. The manager will work closely with prepress, printing, finishing, quality assurance, materials, and engineering functions to ensure that customer specifications are met accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production activities across printing and finishing operations.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules based on customer requirements and available capacity.
  • Supervise production employees and coordinate staffing.
  • Review production orders, specifications, proofs, and samples.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications.
  • Monitor production efficiency, waste, downtime, rework, and material utilization.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve production and quality issues.
  • Maintain appropriate controls over sensitive customer artwork, production materials, proofs, dies, and finished products.
  • Establish and maintain production procedures and work instructions.
  • Investigate production problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Support employee training and development.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance personnel to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and security.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in print manufacturing, specialty printing, security printing, packaging, or related manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of print production and finishing processes.
  • Ability to interpret production specifications and proofs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple production priorities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with certificates, diplomas, academic documents, specialty labels, foil stamping, embossing, holographic products, or other authentication-oriented printed products is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position divides its time between an office and the production floor. The essential functions typically require the ability to:

  • Walk and stand on the production floor for extended periods, and sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Use a computer, keyboard and standard office equipment.

Time on the production floor involves exposure to operating industrial equipment, moderate to high noise levels, and inks, solvents and paper dust. Required personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn in production areas.
