Position Summary
The Manufacturing Systems Specialist supports the technology and information systems used to manage Doxprint’s manufacturing operations, including production tracking, work orders, inventory, quality information, workflow, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing and production-management systems.
- Maintain production workflows and system configurations.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing-system issues.
- Support users and production personnel.
- Analyze production data and develop reports.
- Support integration between manufacturing, inventory, quality, and business systems.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Support testing and implementation of system improvements.
- Improve production tracking and information flow.
- Assist with user training.
- Maintain appropriate system-access controls.
- Participate in manufacturing technology projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing information systems, ERP, MES, production software, or related systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with databases, reporting tools, or spreadsheets.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting print manufacturing, production tracking, inventory systems, ERP/MES implementation, or specialty manufacturing.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based, with regular visits to the production floor. The essential functions typically require the ability to:
- Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Use a computer, keyboard and mouse for most of the workday.
Visits to the production floor involve exposure to operating industrial equipment and moderate to high noise levels. Required personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn in production areas.
