Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that Doxprint products consistently meet established specifications, production requirements, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Inspect printed materials for color, registration, dimensions, image quality, and finishing.
  • Compare production output against approved proofs and samples.
  • Document inspection results.
  • Identify and document nonconforming products.
  • Assist with root-cause investigations.
  • Work with production teams on corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records and documentation.
  • Assist with development of inspection procedures.
  • Support internal audits and process reviews.
  • Verify proper identification and control of nonconforming materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling customer documents and production information.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, printing, or related fields.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret specifications.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with quality-control principles.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in specialty printing, document manufacturing, labels, packaging, certificates, or other precision manufacturing.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position divides its time between an office and the production floor. The essential functions typically require the ability to:

  • Walk and stand on the production floor for extended periods, and sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Use a computer, keyboard and standard office equipment.
  • Distinguish colors and fine visual detail to inspect printed features, including under magnification or special lighting.

Time on the production floor involves exposure to operating industrial equipment, moderate to high noise levels, and inks, solvents and paper dust. Required personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn in production areas.
